How to format an Add/Modify inventory file?
It is very easy to format your file. You should take the same format as you use to send your inventory file to Amazon and make two small changes:
- the title of the column "price" becomes "wished price"
- add a new column entitled "bottom limit price" below which you do not want to sell"
The rest of the file remains exactly the same.
The file should be defined by tabs in csv or text format. The file can be prepared in excel or in another database programme.
Reminder:

ISBN, ASIN, EAN or UPC of the itemdu produit. This number has to be entered without any blancs. If you work with Excel you should format this column as "text" in order to avaoid to loose any "0". |

the number that indicates whether your product is an ISBN, ASIN, EAN or UPC 1 = ASIN (10 character Amazon code) 2 = ISBN (10 characters) 3 = UPC (12 numbers or less) 4 = EAN (13 number bar code) |

stock keeping unit, the unique reference number given to each product in your stock i.e. the same 2 products in different conditions ("like new" and "good") will each have their own SKU. However, if you sell 5 identical products, you will use the same SKU for all 5 products. |

reference number indicating the products condition: 11 = New 1 = Used - like new 2 = Used - very good 3 = Used - good 4 = Used - acceptable 5 = Collectable - like new 6 = Collectable - very good 7 = Collectable - good 8 = Collectable - acceptable |

wished price: (obligated) |
price in GBP, incl. VAT, that you wish to sell your product for, if there is no other competing offer. |
| item-note: | a short description of the product, with maybe a few words about the quality of your service. Please note you have a maximum of 200 characters. |

quantity: (obligated) |
number of items for this particular product. Set at 1 by default - maximum quantity being 999. |
| add-delete: | indicates with a small "a" the products you wish to add |
|
will-ship- internationally: |
choose the corresponding code for the countries you can dispatch your products to: 3 - UK only 4 - UK and EU only 5 - UK, EU and US 6 - UK, EU, US and Rest Of World |
|
bottom limit price: (obligated) |
minimum price in GBP, incl. VAT at which you want to sell your product. Your selling price will never be lower than this amount, regardless of other competitors prices. |
Your file must contain all of the above columns, even if the details are not filled in. The columns must also appear in the same order as shown above for the upload to work successfully.

If your Amazon account is a Seller Central account (products other than media: electronics, home, beauty, toys, videogames…), you can add the following optional columns to your file. Note: it is important that either all 7 optional columns are added to your file or none of the optional columns. The optional columns need to appear in the same order as indicated below, even if not all columns contain information.

(Amazon Seller Central) Accept to pack your sold items in gift wrap. Enter Y (in capital letter) if you accept to pack your items in gift wrap, do not enter any information if you don’t accept the gift wrap option. |

(Amazon Seller Central) Accept a gift message. Enter Y (in capital letter) if you accept gift messages, do not enter any information if you don’t accept the option “gift messages”. |
